A 6 y.o. bay TB gelding, "Fred" has rhythmic elastic paces, a flamboyant trot and a scopey jump.

He has competed successfully up to Pre-Novice Eventing (1st Kirkaldy Introductory March 08, 1st Reynella Prelim May 08, 9th Naracoorte PN May 09, 5th Reynella PN Oct 09, 4th Lakes and Craters PN 3DE and 2nd Reynella PN March 09).

Competing D Grade Show jumping (5 pts) with a 2nd in the D Grade and a clear round in the 1.15m at the SA State SJ Champs April 09.

Competed up to Elementary Dressage (Prelim Champion Southern Vales Dressage Champs Nov 08) and has scored up to 75% at Prelim level, 69% at Novice level and 63% in his first Elementary test.


. "Fred" is a laid-back character that produces his best work with the atmosphere of the competition arena and is not affected by tension in his work. He has a huge walk, a trot with great suspension & rhythm and a balanced connected canter which has allowed him to be very easy to train on the flat. He is confident in his lateral work, training all Elementary movts, trot and canter half passes and flying changes and has an excellent trot extension as well as a super gallop. His progression through the grades and number of competition outings has been severely limited this year by his rider's International/interstate competition commitments with her national squad Show jumpers & Eventers. He is ready to go 1* Eventing but the plan to campaign at Camden CIC* and Melbourne CIC* has had to be delayed as I have broken my leg again! Current plans are for a final PN/1st 1* start at the July SIEC events before campaigning to the Sydney CIC* in September. A great opportunity for the ambitious competent rider to purchase a horse capable of reaching the top level in Eventing for a reasonable price at the early stages of his competition career. He can be arrogant to handle on the ground, so isn't a horse for the inexperienced horse person.
