Koyuna Sun Magic with a much improved dressage test for a score of 45.9 and an impressive cross country round clear and under time looked to be in a good position at 4th going into his strong showjumping phase.

Unfortunately, a small overreach injury directly on the coronet band probably incurred in the first water jump meant that the horse was too sore to present for the final vet. inspection the next morning and had to be withdrawn.

In consolation, Koyuna Sun Dancer was the clear winner of the World Cup qualifier with a dressage score of 49.3, a clear cross country round with just 2.8 time penalties and the only clear showjumping round of the class.
